The thing I enjoy most about my work is getting to know our clients and learning about the exciting projects and technologies they are developing. I sincerely appreciate the relationships we develop and enjoy celebrating their successes with them. I am thrilled when our combined efforts successfully secure funding to further develop their dreams and innovations.
Professionally I am most proud of my contributions to our client FreeWire’s first successful funding opportunity with the California Energy Commission, which will help them significantly expand the manufacturing of their zero-emission charging technologies. This was also my first grant with the Momentum team. Personally, I am most proud of my marriage to my husband Alek. We’ll be celebrating 13 years this December, and it’s been a wonderful adventure so far.
My favorite place to do deep, significant work is on my laptop from the couch in my home office. I like to work with the windows open and my cat napping next to me. I always find fresh air and a cozy spot to be the key to deep concentration and uninterrupted productivity.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, swimming, and painting and sculpting.
Currently I am reading “I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World made for Whiteness” by Austin Channing Brown.
Cold brew coffee is my favorite, especially a good nitro cold brew, and I’m partial to a good dark roast.
I am passoniate about ending institutionalized racism
When I grow up I want to be a full-time sculptor, painter, and potter.
My favorite book is THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MALCOLM X, By Malcolm X and Alex Haley.
