My favorite thing about my work is condensing complex, technical, scientific, and economic material into easy-to-follow stories that convince public agencies and private investors to fund our clients’ projects.
When not at work you can find me walking in the outdoors with my family.
I’m reading two books. The first is Reactions: The Private Life of Atoms, by Peter Atkins. It walks the reader through many of the most basic chemical reactions and then shows how chemists bring together these fundamental reactions into more complex ones, such as photosynthesis, polymerization, and vision. It’s one of the coolest books I’ve ever read. The second book is House Harkonnen, a prequel to Frank Herbert’s Dune series. It’s not half as fascinating as Reactions, but it’s still a lot of fun.
I am exceptionally proud of my role in helping to build a company that provides a livelihood for my family, our employees, and key contractors.
I love working at City Council Cafe in Nevada City, California.
Assuming I’m unarmed, I’ll take my chances with 100 duck-sized horses. If I can have a decent weapon, I’d probably choose one horse-sized duck.
I frequently read the National Geographic, Scientific American, Outside.
