ASCEND
In partnership with the City of Sacramento Office of Economic Development, Momentum’s ASCEND program accelerates sustainable capital for cleantech entrepreneurs in the Sacramento area. The City of Sacramento’s inclusive economic action agenda supports the development of Sacramento’s entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem through “startup enablers” – community-based initiatives and programs that help entrepreneurs take their startup from initial idea to viable company.
Momentum’s ASCEND program provides foundational training and technical assistance to startup founders, innovators, and businesses with innovations in the clean economy with specific focus on funding clean mobility and clean energy technologies.
ASCEND aims to connect diverse founders with diverse funding opportunities that grow Sacramento’s innovation ecosystem while advancing decarbonization goals for the broader region. Participants receive a stipend of $3500 to support their time in the program.
ASCEND is a hybrid (in-person with virtual) 4-month program with biweekly training sessions and a final showcase. The 2024 program runs June 20-October 20.
