The hiring of Moilanen, a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in zero-emission planning, project execution, and fund development for seaport and maritime clients, aligns perfectly with Momentum’s vision for a greener future.

Before assuming the role of Director of Ports, Renee Moilanen showcased her expertise as a Strategic Consultant for Air Quality and Seaports with Starcrest Consulting Group, LLC, where she played a pivotal role in securing over $400 million in grant funding for maritime clients to realize their environmental goals. Her distinguished tenure as the Manager of Air Quality Practices for the Port of Long Beach, where she managed and secured nearly $100 million in advanced technology grants and oversaw a $65 million Community Grants Program, underscores her caliber and fit for this position.

Her deep experience working with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and community groups, alongside her unparalleled knowledge in maritime operations and zero-emission technology advancement, will prove invaluable to accelerating the capacity of Momentum clients to meet technology and efficiency goals.
