Scott is an integrated communications professional with a background in clean energy, clean technology, energy policy, and sustainability. He works to help clients ideate, conceptualize, and deliver projects that enhance quality of life; support better public health outcomes; nurture environmental health; and advance the state of clean energy. In his role as a Strategist at Momentum, Scott supports public agency socialization and other precapture work, as well as grant management activities such as technology transfer and community outreach. Scott brings infectious positivity and aspirational energy to his work that inspires curiosity for what is possible and gusto for bringing it to fruition.

Background

Scott’s diverse work history spans sectors and roles. Before joining the Momentum team, he worked at the California Energy Commission, serving as a Special Advisor to Commissioner Monahan and Communications Lead for the Energy Research and Development Division. His work covered broad swaths of the clean energy sector, including transportation electrification and decarbonization; energy resiliency and safety; building decarbonization; grid decarbonization and decentralization; the water-energy nexus; industrial and agricultural innovation; and clean energy entrepreneurship. He has also worked in clean tech public relations, supported higher education program administration, managed a small business, taught French, and been a research assistant.
